Roles And Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain API documentation for developers and partners
- Design, develop,and maintain RESTful APIs that are scalable,secure,and well-documented
- Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed to enhance functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure the security of APIs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in API development
- Optimize API performance for speed and efficiency, including caching strategies and query optimization
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to API functionality and integration
- Should have good programming skills in languages commonly used for API development, Java, Node, Python
- Should have strong communication skills
- Should have excellent experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Asure, or Google Cloud platform
- CLosely with version control systems such as GIT
- Should have good knowledge of microservices architecture and related platform
- Should have a solid knowledge of API management platforms and tools e.g, Swagger, postman
- Should have good proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Should have strong knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2.0
- Ability to work in an agile/Scrum development environment
